CAUTION: Suspension fasteners are critical parts because they affect performance of vital components and systems and their failure can result in
major service expense. They must be replaced with the same part number or an equivalent part if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement
part of lesser quality or substitute design. Torque values must be used as specified during reassembly to make sure of correct retention of these parts.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. NOTE: To prevent the front suspension from shifting when the track bar is removed, the front axle must be supporting the vehicle weight.
Load the front suspension with the vehicle weight.

Position a jack stand under both sides of the front axle assembly.

Lower the vehicle until the front axle is supporting the vehicle weight.
3. Remove the track bar bracket nut and bolt and disconnect the track bar.

Discard the nut and bolt.
4. NOTE: First loosen the nut, then use the hex holding feature to prevent the track bar ball joint from turning while removing the nut.
Remove and discard the track bar ball joint nut.
5. NOTE: It may be necessary to rotate the track bar forward before installing the special tool.
Using the special tool, disconnect the track bar from the ball joint and remove the track bar.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Tighten the track bar bracket bolt with the suspension at curb height.
Position the track bar and install the bracket nut and bolt. Do not tighten the nut at this time.
2. CAUTION: Use the hex holding feature to prevent the track bar ball joint from turning while installing the nut, tighten the nut until snug. Final
tighten the nut with the suspension at curb height.
Position the track bar onto the ball joint and install the nut. Do not tighten the nut at this time.
3. With the vehicle weight still supported by the jack stands, tighten the track bar ball joint nut to 250 Nm (184 ft. lbs.).
4. With the vehicle weight still supported by the jack stands, tighten the track bar bracket nut to 550 Nm (406 ft. lbs.)
