F 550 4WD Super Duty V10-6.8L VIN S (2000)
1. Install the inner gearshift lever boot ring into the gearshift lever boot.
2. Install the gearshift lever boot into the special tool.

Apply Silicone Lubricant F7AZ-19G208-BA or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M13P4-A to the shift lever boot.
3. Position the gearshift retainer on a vise. Using the special tools, install the gearshift lever boot into the gearshift lever retainer.
4. Install the lower gearshift lever into the gearshift lever retainer.
5. Install the gearshift lever blocks.

Install the gearshift lever blocks with the notches facing upward.
