Drum Brake - Brake Drum Fiesta 2002.25 (11/2001-)
Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Remove the parking brake control trim panel.

  1. Loosen the parking brake cable adjustment nut to the end of the thread.
    • Discard the retaining clip.
  1. Release the parking brake.
  1. Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to Section  204-04 Wheels and Tires.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:If the dust cap is damaged on removal a new dust cap must be installed during installation.
    Remove the dust cap.

  1. Remove the brake drum.
    1. Remove and discard the wheel hub retaining nut.
    1. Remove the drum.

Installation

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Rotate the drum ten times in the opposite direction when tightening the wheel hub retaining nut to prevent damage to the bearing.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new wheel hub retaining nut.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new parking brake cable retaining clip.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Adjust the parking brake cable. For additional information, refer to Section  206-05 Parking Brake and Actuation.
