Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Using a suitable screwdriver, detach the interior light from the overhead console.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the interior light.
Vehicles with power roof opening panel
  1. Detach the overhead console trim panel from the overhead console.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the overhead console trim panel.
Vehicles with manual roof opening panel
  1. Remove the roof opening panel regulator handle.

  1. Remove the overhead console trim panel.
All vehicles
  1. Remove the overhead console front retaining screws.

  1. Detach the overhead console front retaining clips.

  1. Detach the overhead console center retaining clips.

  1. Remove the overhead console.
    • Detach the rear retaining clip from the roof panel.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
