Oil Pump Screen and Pickup Tube - Removal

Oil Pump Screen and Pickup Tube

NOTICE: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while
cleaning gasket surfaces that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan, may cause engine failure.

All engines

1. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Oil Pan  See: Oil Pan/Service and Repair/Oil Pan - Removal.

Early build engines

2. Remove the 3 bolts and the oil pump screen and pickup tube.

Discard the O-ring seal.

Late build engines

3. Remove the 2 bolts and the oil pump screen and pickup tube.

Discard the O-ring seal.
