Removal
NOTICE: Only remove the headliner from the vehicle if the headliner is being replaced. Removing the headliner will cause damage to the
headliner.
NOTE: When replacing the headliner or transferring/installing a wire harness, obtain 3M(TM) Duramix(TM) 4747 Super Fast Adhesive commercially
to attach the harness to the headliner. The 3M(TM) Duramix(TM) 4747 Super Fast Adhesives is a 2-part adhesive in a 50 ml dual-tube applicator.
Depending on the size of the headliner and optional wire harness(es), the purchase of two to five 50 ml tubes is suggested.
Vehicles equipped with a glass roof
1. Remove the windshield. For additional information, refer to Windows and Glass.
2. Remove the side curtain air bag-to-A-pillar trim panel bracket pin-type retainers.
3. Remove the A-pillar trim panel bracket retainer bolts and remove the A-pillar trim panel bracket.
