Passenger Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) Indicator
Removal and Installation
NOTE: The Passenger Air Bag Deactivation (PAD) indicator is part of the Hazard/Traction control switch assembly.
1. NOTE: Ignition must be OFF if disconnecting the PAD indicator electrical connector. Otherwise, a DTC will be set in the Restraints Control
Module (RCM) memory and must be cleared before releasing the vehicle.
Turn the ignition OFF and wait at least one minute.
2. Remove the PAD indicator.

With a non-marring tool, pry the RH instrument panel finish panel outward and release the retaining clips.

Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

Depress the 2 tabs and remove the PAD indicator.
3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
