NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition is ON.
NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
1. Depower the SRS. Refer to Depowering and Repowering in the General Procedures portion of Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.
3. NOTE: Inspect the D-ring cover for damage. If damaged, install a new D-ring cover.
Squeeze the height adjuster buttons and pull the D-ring cover out at the bottom and remove.
4. Remove the safety belt anchor.

Position the seat all the way down.

For passenger seat, disconnect the Belt Tension Sensor (BTS) electrical connector.

Remove the bolt and safety belt anchor.

To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
5. Remove the safety belt retractor.

Remove the bolt.

To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Remove the safety belt retractor from the B-pillar.

Disconnect the electrical connector.
6. NOTE: Before installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
7. Repower the SRS. Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering and Repowering in the General Procedures portion of Restraint
Systems.
8. Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to the appropriate Functional Test procedure in Safety
