Door Handle Reinforcement - Exterior, Front
Removal
All vehicles
NOTE: The door window glass must be completely raised.
1. Remove the front door latch. For additional information, refer to Front Door Latch See: Front Door Latch/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Front Door Latch.
2. Remove the exterior front door handle. For additional information, refer to Exterior Front Door Handle See: Exterior Front Door Handle.
Coupe
3. Remove the front door window glass.
4. NOTE: The exterior front door handle reinforcement screw does not have to be removed.
Loosen the exterior front door handle reinforcement screw.
Sedan
5. Secure the door window glass in the full-up position with tape.
6. Loosen the 2 window glass clamp bolts.
7. Lower the window regulator to the full-down position.
8. Remove the upper rear window glass track bolt.
9. Push the top of the window glass track toward the front of the vehicle.
10. NOTE: The exterior front door handle reinforcement screw does not have to be removed.
Loosen the exterior front door handle reinforcement screw through the access hole.
All vehicles
11. Slide the exterior front door handle reinforcement to the front of the vehicle and remove from the door.
