ISSUE
The Right Axle Intermediate Shaft Bearing has been released for service separate from the Intermediate Shaft Assembly. The following service
procedure has been developed to aid in replacing this bearing.
ACTION
If the Intermediate Shaft Bearing needs to be replaced, follow the Service Procedure below.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the Right Intermediate Shaft Assembly using the removal procedure in the Workshop Manual (Section 205-04, Removal and Installation,
Intermediate Shaft).
2.
Using a press, suitable arbor plates, and Bearing Puller Tool 205-D064 (D84L-1123-A), press the old bearing off of the Intermediate shaft (Figure
1).
