Timing Belt: Service and Repair
NOTE:Ford does not provide camshaft gear timing marks, or information to perform timing belt service without the special tools shown
in this procedure.

Special Tool(s)
Removal
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. NOTE: Mark the drive belt running direction.
Remove the accessory drive belt.

Loosen the bolts on the coolant pump pulley.

Rotate the tensioner clockwise.
3
Detach the accessory drive idler pulley.

Detach the coolant pump belt pulley.
