Vehicles with rear disc brakes
20. Detach the parking brake cable from the tie bar on both sides.
21. Detach the parking brake cable from the caliper on both sides.

Pull back the parking brake lever.

Disconnect the cable from the parking brake lever.

Remove the conduit retaining clip.

Disconnect the cable and conduit.
All vehicles
22. Remove the parking brake cables.
Installation
1. NOTE: The left-hand cable can be identified by a white sleeve and the right-hand cable by a black sleeve. Check the exhaust hanger insulators for
damage and fatigue. Install new exhaust hanger insulators as required, using a suitable lubricant. Install new exhaust tailpipe and muffler assembly
nuts.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Adjust the parking brake.
