Engine Controls - VSS PID Always Reads Zero

VSS PID ALWAYS READS ZERO (0) - 2.3L PZEV ENGINE

2003 Focus

ISSUE
Some 2003 Focus vehicles equipped with a 2.3L PZEV engine may exhibit a vehicle speed sensor (VSS) PID that always reads zero (0), when accessed
through Generic OBD II Functions Mode 01 or Mode 02 (Freeze Frame) on WDS or NGS.

ACTION
Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration available using WDS. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
