Removal and Installation

Removal

CAUTION:
CAUTION:Do not use heat to loosen a seized wheel nut. Heat may damage the wheel and wheel hub.
  1. Loosen the wheel nuts.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to: (100-02 Jacking and Lifting)

  1. Remove the wheel and tire.

Installation

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Remove any corrosion or dirt from the mounting surfaces of the wheel, wheel hub or brake disc. Corrosion or dirt on the mounting surfaces may cause the wheel nuts to loosen and the wheel to come off while the vehicle is in motion. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
    Clean the wheel hub and mounting surfaces.
  1. Install the wheel and tire.
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Tighten the wheel nuts in the sequence shown.
