Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.

3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Removal Details

Item 2 : Throttle body electrical connector

Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector. Release the locking tangs.

Item 5 : Oil pressure switch electrical connector

Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to: Lifting (100-02, Description and Operation).

Disconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector. Release the locking tangs.

Item 6 : Engine wiring harness retaining clip

Lower the vehicle.

Detach the engine loom wiring harness retaining clip from the fuel charging wiring harness.

Item 9 : Fuel charging wiring harness retaining clips

Detach the fuel charging wiring harness retaining clips from the valve cover.

Installation Details

Item 5 : Oil pressure switch electrical connector

Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to: Lifting (100-02, Description and Operation).

Connect the oil pressure switch electrical connector.

Item 4 : Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) breather hose

NOTE:Make sure that the PCV breather hose is clean and free from any oil residue as this will reduce the installation grip of the PCV breather hose.

Lower the vehicle.
