Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the exhaust flexible pipe is not forcibly bent.
    1. General Equipment: Tire lever
      Torque: 51 Nm

  1. General Equipment: Cable ties

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

  1. Torque: 5 Nm

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
    1. General Equipment: Hose clamp(s)
    1. General Equipment: Hose clamp remover/installer
    1. Secure the hose opening above the fuel level.
      General Equipment: Cable ties
    1. General Equipment: Fuel tank draining equipment

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that new components are installed.
    General Equipment: Hose clamp remover/installer
Vehicles with fuel fired booster heater
All vehicles

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that no components catch.
    General Equipment: Transmission jack
    Torque: 25 Nm

Vehicles with fuel fired booster heater
  1. Torque: 10 Nm
All vehicles
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Take extra care not to damage the fuel tank level sensor float and arm.
    Special Tool(s): 310-069

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Take extra care not to damage the fuel tank level sensor float and arm.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that the installation marks are aligned.
    Special Tool(s): 310-069
    Torque: 85 Nm
