Keep all vehicle doors and windows open for the duration of the operation. Do not inhale vapors under any circumstances. Do not smoke and avoid open fire and unprotected light sources.     NOTE:
    NOTE:The odour eliminating agent can remove deposits in the heater housing but cannot prevent odours that are distributed by the ventilation system, for example those caused by damp carpets.
    Precisely locate the musty or damp odour.
  1. Disconnect the low pressure switch connector.
  1. Turn on the ignition.
  1. Open all ventilation nozzles.
  1. Set the temperature control to maximum heating power.
  1. Set the blower motor control switch to the highest setting.
  1. Set the air distribution control to the fresh air position.
  1. Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temperature.
  1. To dry out the system, switch off the air conditioning system and ventilate the vehicle for approx. 15 minutes.
  1. Switch off the engine.
Only Focus to MY 2004.75 and Galaxy
  1. Remove the blower motor.
Only Ka, Fiesta 96 to MY 2002.25 and Puma
  1. Remove the blower motor resistor
Only Fiesta from MY 2002.25, Focus C-Max and Focus from MY 2004.75 with pollen filter
  1. Remove the pollen filter.
Only Fiesta from MY 2002.25, Focus C-Max and Focus from MY 2004.75 without pollen filter
  1. Remove the pollen filter housing cover.
All vehicles
  1. Fill the spray gun with the odour eliminating agent (240 ml).
  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:The maximum pressure of 13.5 bar must not be exceeded. Failure to observe this instruction can lead to injuries.
    Use the tyre inflator to apply pressure of 5.5 to 10 bar (operating pressure) to the spray gun.
  1. Insert the hose of the spray gun as far as possible into the opening created by removal of the above component and point it in the direction of the evaporator.
  1. By moving the hose, spray the odour eliminating agent over the entire surface of the evaporator.
  1. Spray all of the odour eliminating agent into the opening.
    • Allow the odour eliminating agent to take effect for 10 minutes.
  1. Install the components in reverse order.
  1. Start the engine, switch off the air conditioning system and ventilate the vehicle for approx. 15 minutes.
  1. Open all ventilation nozzles.
  1. Set the temperature control to maximum heating power.
  1. Set the blower motor control switch to the highest setting.
  1. Set the air distribution control to the fresh air position.
  1. Switch off the engine.
  1. Connect the low pressure switch connector.
  1. Ventilate the vehicle with the doors open for another 30 minutes.
