Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Remove the accessory drive belt.

Release the accessory drive belt tensioner. | | | -
Remove the generator lower retaining bolt. | | | -
Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor and the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connectors. | | | -
Detach the charge air cooler outlet pipe from the intake air shutoff throttle. | | | -
Remove the fuel filter shield. - Disconnect the fuel heater electrical connector.
- Detach the wiring harness from the fuel filter shield.
- Detach the fuel line from the fuel filter shield.
- Detach the fuel line from the fuel filter mounting bracket.

Remove the fuel filter splash shield and remove the fuel filter retaining screw. | | | -
Detach the fuel filter and secure it to one side. | | | -
Remove the fuel filter mounting bracket. | 13. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 1 - Generator electrical connector 2 - Battery to generator cable electrical connector 4 - Generator upper retaining bolts 14. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | | -
Vehicles with global closing, initialize the door window motors.
