Remove the instrument panel passenger side lower trim panel. | | | -
Lower the central junction box (CJB). - Release the CJB retaining clips

Open the glove compartment lid. | | | -
Remove the navigation system DVD unit access cover. | | | -
Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 1 - Glove compartment retaining screw covers 2 - Glove compartment retaining screws 3 - Glove compartment lid striker retaining screws 5 - Moving pictures experts group audio layer 3 (MP3) auxiliary connector electrical connector See Removal Detail 6 - Passenger airbag deactivation switch electrical connector 7 - Glove compartment housing 9 - Navigation system DVD unit retaining bolts 11 - Navigation system DVD unit 7. To install, reverse the removal procedure. | | -
NOTE:If a new navigation system DVD unit is installed, a destination must be inputted into the navigation system display module and the vehicle must be driven until the route guidance is initiated. Vehicles with global closing, initialize the door window motors.

Detach the glove compartment cooling hose from the glove compartment cooling vent. | Item 5 : Moving pictures experts group audio layer 3 (MP3) auxiliary connector electrical connector CAUTION:Do not place excessive strain on the electrical harness when detaching the glove compartment. | | -
Reposition the glove compartment to gain access to the MP3 auxiliary connector electrical connector. | Item 8 : Navigation system DVD unit support bracket retaining clips | | -
Release the navigation system DVD unit support bracket retaining clips and lower the navigation system DVD unit. | | | -
Remove the navigation system DVD from the navigation system DVD unit. | Item 10 : Navigation system DVD unit electrical connectors CAUTION:When detaching the navigation system DVD unit from the DVD unit retaining bracket, do not place excessive strain on the wiring harness or the navigation system antenna cable. |
