Replacement parts - Rear (left and right) bumper mounting

General Notes - Necessary removal work: Trunk lid, rear bumper, back panel inner trim and quarter panel trim.
- Reposition the carpeting and the wiring harness away from the working area.

Back panel with reinforcement - Separate the back panel and the reinforcement behind it with a rough separating cut.

Back panel with reinforcement - Mill out the spot welds (two panel thicknesses).

Back panel with reinforcement - Mill out the spot welds.
- Mill out the spot welds with a spherical cutter.

Back panel with reinforcement - Mill out the spot welds (two panel thicknesses).
| Installation NOTE:Before resistance spot welding of body panels with a total panel thickness of 3 mm and greater, the welding equipment instructions contained in sub-section 501-25 must be followed. | -
Back panel reinforcement - Punch holes for puddle welding.

Position rear bumper mountings with back panel reinforcement fitted and secure. | | -
Back panel reinforcement and rear bumper mountings | | -
Remove back panel reinforcement with welded rear bumper mountings from the vehicle. | | -
Place back panel and back panel reinforcement on top of one another and interlocking, insert both on the vehicle, fit and secure. | | -
Back panel with reinforcement - Puddle welding.
NOTE:By drilling out the holes it is possible to weld all three layers of metal together. - Drill by two panel thickness and puddle weld.
