Remover/Installer, Cooling Hose Clamp

1. Drain the cooling system.
   For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this section.
   

2. Disconnect the charge air cooler intake hose from the charge air cooler and position it to one side.

3. Using the special tool disconnect the coolant hoses from the thermostat housing cover.

4. Remove the thermostat housing cover retaining screws.

5. Remove the thermostat from the thermostat housing.

6. Remove and discard the thermostat O-ring seal.

   CAUTION:Make sure that the inside of the charge air cooler intake pipe end is clean and free from any oil residue as this will reduce the installation grip of the pipe to the charge air cooler. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the engine.
   

   NOTE:Install a new thermostat O-ring seal.
   To install, reverse the removal procedure.
