General Procedures
Drain
WARNING:When releasing the system pressure, cover the expansion tank cap with a thick cloth to prevent the possibility of coolant scalding. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
Remove the charge air cooler coolant expansion tank cap.
Relieve the Charge air cooling system pressure by slowly turning the expansion tank cap a quarter of a turn.
Remove the front bumper undershield retaining screws.
Remove the front bumper undershield retaining screws.
Remove the front bumper undershield retaining screws.
Remove the front bumper undershield retaining screws.
NOTE:Support the front bumper undershield
Remove the front bumper undershield.
Disconnect the charge air cooler radiator coolant hose from the charge air cooler radiator.
Drain the coolant into a suitable container.
Refill
Connect the charge air cooler radiator coolant hose to the charge air cooler radiator.
Lower the vehicle.
Using a funnel, fill the cooling system until coolant reaches the maximum mark on the charge air coolant expansion tank.
Start the engine and run until normal operating temperature is achieved. Check for leaks and add coolant if necessary.
Install the charge air cooler coolant expansion tank cap Leave the engine to cool down and then recheck the coolant level. Top up to the MAX mark as required.
