Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Wait at least one minute after disconnecting the battery ground cable before disconnecting any supplemental restraint system electrical connectors. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
    Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Move the seat fully rearwards.

  1. Remove the seat track outer trim cover.

  1. Remove the front retaining bolts.
  1. Move the seat fully forwards.

  1. Remove the rear retaining bolts.

  1. Disconnect the underseat electrical connector.

Installation

All vehicles
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Vehicles with front and rear power windows
  1. Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.
