Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.

  1. Remove the insert from the front of the floor console.

  1. Remove the floor console front retaining screws.

  1. Cut the gearshift lever boot tie from the gearshift lever.

  1. Remove the floor console rear retaining screw.
    1. Remove the screw cover.
    1. Remove the screw.

  1. Fully raise the parking brake lever and detach the boot.

  1. Disconnect the starter button electrical connector.
    • Raise the floor console to gain access to the electrical connector.

  1. Remove the floor console.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new gearshift lever boot tie.
