Accessory Drive Belt Idler Pulley

Removal and Installation

All pulleys

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.

2. Remove the 4 screws and position the RH fender splash shield aside.

3. Remove the 6 pin-type retainers and the RH splash shield.

4. Using a suitable belt tensioner release tool, rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise and position the accessory drive belt off of

the accessory drive belt tensioner.

Grooved pulley

5. Position the accessory drive belt off of the grooved accessory drive belt idler pulley.

6. Remove the bolt and the accessory drive belt idler pulley.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Non-grooved pulley

7. Position the accessory drive belt off of the non-grooved accessory drive belt idler pulley.

8. Remove the bolt and the accessory drive belt idler pulley.

-

To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

All pulleys

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
