2. Remove the exterior door handle. For additional information, refer to Exterior Door Handle See: Front Door Handle/Front Door Exterior
Handle/Service and Repair/Exterior Door Handle.
3. On the rear doors, position the door window glass at the top of the door.
4. Loosen the exterior door handle reinforcement bolt.

To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
5. Slide the exterior door handle reinforcement to the front of the vehicle and push inside the door.
6. Remove the 3 door latch bolts.

To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
7. Remove the complete latch, carrier, and handle reinforcement assembly from the door.
8. Remove the release cable from the latch.

Slide the cable housing off the latch.

Unhook the cable from the latch lever.
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
