Accelerometer - Vehicles Built Up To: 11-2002 > < Front Wheel Speed Sensor
Anti-Lock Control - Stability Assist - Yaw Rate Sensor—Vehicles Built Up To: 11/2002 Galaxy 2000.75 (04/2000-02/2006)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable(s). For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Remove the left-hand front seat. For additional information, refer to Section  501-10 Seating.

  1. Remove the carpet trim panel bracket.

  1. Remove the parking brake control upper trim.
    1. Pull the trim up.
    1. Remove the trim.

  1. Remove the parking brake control lower trim.

  1. Remove the floor console heating vent cover.

  1. Remove the floor console heating vent.
    1. Locally detach the carpet.
    1. Remove the floor console heating vent retaining nuts.

  1. Disconnect the floor heating duct from the floor console.

  1. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.

  1. Disconnect the accelerometer electrical connector.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The yaw rate sensor and accelerometer assembly can only be removed forwards.
    Remove the yaw rate sensor and accelerometer assembly.
    1. Detach the bracket.
    1. Slide the bracket forwards.

  1. Remove the yaw rate sensor.

Installation

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure the yaw rate sensor is correctly positioned. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
