Removal and Installation

Special Tool(s)

Remover/Installer, cooling hose clamp

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable(s). For additional information, refer to Section  414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Drain the cooling system.
    For additional information, refer to Cooling System, Draining Filling and Bleeding in this section.

  1. Using the special tool, remove the thermostat.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
