Starting System - Starter Motor—2.0L/2.3L Galaxy 2000.75 (04/2000-02/2006)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable(s). For additional information, refer to Section  414-00 Charging System - General Information.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Remove the engine undershield.

  1. Disconnect the battery to starter motor solenoid cable.

  1. Disconnect the starter motor solenoid electrical connector.

  1. Remove the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector retaining bracket nut.

  1. Remove the starter motor.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
