  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that the transaxle is not in emergency run operation.
    Connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector (DLC).
  1. Using the diagnostic tool, check if the transmission fluid temperature is less than 30 °C.
    For additional information, refer to Diagnostics - in this section.
  1. Shift the transaxle selector lever to the "P" (park) position.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Remove the engine undershield.
  1. Start the engine.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The transmission fluid temperature should be between 35 °C and 45 °C.
    For additional information, refer to Diagnostics - in this section.
    Using the diagnostic tool, check the transmission fluid temperature.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Check the transmission fluid level with the vehicle on a level surface.
    Remove the test plug.
    • Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
    • Discard the test plug seal.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Transmission fluid should escape from the test outlet.
    Check for escaping transmission fluid.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new test plug seal.
    Install the test plug.
  1. Switch the engine off.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Differential fluid should escape from the test outlet.
    With the vehicle on a level surface, fill the differential with differential fluid until the fluid level is just below the bottom of the filler hole.

  1. Install the engine undershield.
  1. Lower the vehicle.
    • Remove the diagnostic tool.
