NOTE:Make sure that the transaxle is not in emergency run operation. Connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector (DLC). - Using the diagnostic tool, check that the transmission fluid temperature is less than 30°C.
- Connect the diagnostic tool to the DLC connector.
- Select the indicator group no. 2 on the diagnostic tool.
- The diagnostic tool display indicates the automatic transmission fluid temperature.
- Shift the transmission selector lever to the "P" (park) position.

NOTE:Hold the selector lever in each position for a few seconds. When the transmission fluid temperature reaches 30 °C, move the selector lever from "P" (park) position to "1" position and back to "P" (park) position. | | -
CAUTION:Ensure that the selector lever is in the "P" (park) position. | | -
Remove the engine undershield. | | -
NOTE:The temperature for the transaxle should be between 35°C and 45°C. Check the transmission fluid temperature. | | -
NOTE:Only carry out the following step for vehicles without transaxle lower cover. NOTE:Check the fluid level with the vehicle on a level surface. Remove the test plug. - Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
- Discard the test plug seal.

- Discard the test plug seal.

NOTE:Transmission fluid should escape from the test outlet. Check for escaping transmission fluid. | | -

Install the engine undershield. | | -
Lower the vehicle. - Remove the diagnostic tool.
