Selector Lever Cable Adjustment for Galaxy 200075 (042000-022006)

Automatic Transmission/Transaxle External Controls - Selector Lever Cable Adjustment Galaxy 2000.75 (04/2000-02/2006)
General Procedures

  1. Move the transaxle selector lever to "P" (park) position.
  1. Remove the floor console. For additional information, refer to Section  501-12 Instrument Panel and Console.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The transaxle selector lever has its own detent mechanism. There is no need to hold it after engaging a gear.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Move the transaxle selector lever to "P" (park) position.
    Detach the selector lever cable from the selector lever assembly.
    • Loosen the selector lever cable clamp bolt.
  1. Move the selector lever through all positions several times.
  1. Move the selector lever to "P" (park) position.

  1. Attach the selector lever cable to the selector lever assembly.
    • Tighten the selector lever cable clamp bolt.
  1. Recheck the selector lever cable adjustment.
    • Check all gears can be selected.
  1. Install the floor console. For additional information, refer to Section  501-12 Instrument Panel and Console.
