Remove the dashboard cover side trim on the driver side.
Release the clips.
Remove the lower dashboard cover bezel on the driver side.
Release the clips.
Detach the lower dashboard cover on the driver side from the dashboard.
Remove the retaining bolts.
Disengage the clip.
Disconnect the electrical connectors of the light switch and the dashboard light dimming switch/headlamp levelling switch.
Remove the lower dashboard cover on the driver side.
Detach the data link connector (DLC) electrical connector.
Disconnect the stop lamp switch connector.
CAUTION:Make certain that the brake pedal is in its rest position while the stop lamp switch is removed. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the stop lamp switch.
Remove the stop lamp switch.
Turn the switch counter-clockwise through 45 degrees and pull it out of the bracket.
