Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.

  1. Detach the liftgate latch and actuator.

  1. Detach the liftgate lock cylinder from the liftgate.

  1. Detach the door ajar switch from the liftgate lock cylinder.

  1. Cut the tie strap.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the liftgate lock cylinder.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new tie strap.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
