Mondeo 1997 Rear Suspension Tie Bar Removal and Installation

Rear Suspension - Tie Bar—4-Door/5-Door Mondeo 1997 (08/1996-09/2000)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Slacken the wheel nuts, raise the vehicle and remove the rear road wheel.

  1. Detach the handbrake cable and the exhaust hanger from the tie bar bracket.

  1. Detach the tie bar from the knuckle assembly.

  1. Remove the tie bar and bracket assembly.

  1. Remove the tie bar from the bracket.

Installation
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The final torquing of the rear suspension components should be carried out with the vehicle on its wheels.
    Install the components in reverse order.
