Anti-Lock Control - Traction Control - Traction Control Actuator Mondeo 1997 (08/1996-09/2000)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative lead.

  1. Disconnect the traction control motor multiplug.

  1. Remove the motor cover.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Do not stretch the accelerator and/or speed control cables.
    Disconnect the motor to throttle shaft cable .
    • Rotate the pulley to provide sufficient slack in the cable.

  1. Slide the cable out of the motor housing.

  1. Disconnect the accelerator to motor cable .
    • Rotate the pulley to provide sufficient slack in the cable.

  1. Slide the cable out of the motor housing.

  1. Remove the motor retaining nuts and bolts.

  1. Remove the motor.

Installation
  1. Install the components in reverse order.
  1. Adjust the accelerator cable.
