Accessory Drive - Accessory Drive Belt—1.6L/1.8L/2.0L/2.5L Mondeo 1997 (08/1996-09/2000)
Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt upper shield.
  1. Loosen the right-hand front wheel nuts.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.
  1. Remove the right-hand front wheel.

  1. Remove the right-hand front wheelhouse liner.

  1. Remove the right-hand front wheelhouse rear liner.

  1. Remove the accessory drive belt.
    1. De-tension the drive belt by turning the tensioner in a clockwise direction.
    2. Remove the drive belt and release the tensioner.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
