Removal and Installation

Removal

All Vehicles
  1. Remove the driver air bag module. For additional information, refer to Section  501-20A Safety Belt System / 501-20B Supplemental Restraint System.
Vehicles with speed control
  1. Remove the switch contact plates.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Remove the switch contact plates and springs.

  1. Remove the switch assembly.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Pry the switch from the steering wheel.
Vehicles without speed control
  1. Disconnect the horn switch electrical connector.

  1. Remove the horn switch assembly.

Installation

All vehicles
  1. To install, reverse the Removal procedure.
