Removal and Installation

Removal

All Vehicles
  1. Remove the A, B and C-Pillar trims. For additional information, refer to Section  501-05 Interior Trim and Ornamentation.
  1. Remove the interior trim lights.
  1. Remove the center high mounted stoplamp (if fitted).
Vehicles with manual sliding roof opening panel
  1. Remove the handle.
All Vehicles
  1. Detach the overhead console. (Vehicles with power sunroof shown, vehicles with manual sunroof similar.)
    • Remove the screws.

  1. Remove the overhead console.

  1. Disconnect the power sliding roof opening panel electrical connector.
All Vehicles
  1. Remove the sun visors.
    • Pry out the screw covers.
Vehicles with vanity mirror illumination
  1. Disconnect the sun visor electrical connector.
All Vehicles
  1. Remove the sun visor inner brackets.
    • Pry out the screw covers.

  1. Remove the passenger assist handles.
    • Pry open the screw covers.

  1. Pry out the rear retaining clips.
    • Pry up the centre, then remove the clip.

  1. Pry out the side retaining clips.
    • Pry up the centre, then remove the clip.

  1. Remove the sliding roof opening panel edge strip.

  1. Remove the arial blanking plug.

  1. Detach the headlining locating tangs from the B-Pillar.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:For hatchbacks and estates, remove the headlining through the tailgate aperture. For notchbacks, remove via the rear door aperture.
    Remove the headling.
    • Locally detach the door weatherstrips as required.

Installation

  1. Install the components in reverse order.
