Disassembly and Assembly

Disassembly

  1. Remove the front seat.
    For additional information, refer to Front Seat in this section.

  1. Remove the backrest recliner handwheel.

  1. Detach the seat outer trim panel.
    1. Remove the screws.
    1. Detach the rear clip.

  1. Remove the seat outer trim panel.
    • Disconnect the seat height adjust switch.

  1. Remove the backrest recliner.
    1. Remove the screw.
    1. Remove the cap.
    1. Detach the recliner boss.

  1. Detach the side air bag module wiring harness from the seat track.
    • Cut the cable ties.

  1. Remove the seat backrest.
    • Remove the retaining screws (left-hand side shown).

  1. Detach the seat cover from the seat base.
    • Remove the staples (left-hand side shown).

  1. Detach the cushion cover from the underside of the seat.
    • Detach the retaining strip.

  1. Remove the cushion cover.
    • Cut the hog rings.

Assembly
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Use hog ring pliers to close the hog rings. Do not use any other tool. The hog rings must be closed to overlap 8 mm as illustrated.
    To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
