Removal and Installation

Removal

4-door and 5-door
  1. Remove the bolts.

  1. Remove the loadspace side trim panels (right-hand side shown).

  1. Remove the left and right-hand side nuts (right-hand side shown).
All Vehicles
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section  100-02 Jacking and Lifting.
Wagon
  1. Detach the bumper from the wheelhouse liners.
    • One screw each side.
4-door and 5-door
  1. Detach the bumper from the wheelhouse liners.
    • Remove two nuts and one screw each side.

  1. Unclip the lower center support.

  1. Detach the bumper from the rear fenders.
    • One screw each side.
All Vehicles
  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:The lower edge of the bumper is very sharp, wear gloves to remove bumper. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
    Remove the bumper.
    • Remove four nuts and pull the bumper rearwards to disengage from the side pins.

Installation
  1. Install the components in reverse order.
