Removal

  1. Remove the dual converter y-pipe.
    For additional information, refer to: Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe (309-00 Exhaust System, Removal and Installation).
  1. Drain the engine.
    • Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Inspect the oil pan drain plug seal for damage. Install a new drain plug and seal if required.
    Install the oil drain plug.

  1. Remove the exhaust front pipe bracket from the cylinder block.

  1. Remove the oil pan flange retaining bolts.

  1. Remove the oil pan.
    • Remove the oil pan retaining bolts in the sequence shown.
    • Discard the gasket.

Installation
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Install the oil pan within five minutes of applying the sealant.
    Apply sealant approximately 10 mm in diameter where indicated.

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new gasket.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Install the stud bolts in position 5, 6, 7, 12, 14, 15.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:Do not fully tighten the oil pan retaining bolts at this stage.
    Install the oil pan.

  1. Install the oil pan flange retaining bolts.

  1. Tighten the oil pan retaining bolts and stud bolts in the sequence shown.

  1. Install the exhaust front pipe bracket.
  1. Install the dual converter y-pipe.
    For additional information, refer to: Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe (309-00 Exhaust System, Removal and Installation).
  1. Fill the engine with engine oil.
