Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Remove the EGR valve outlet tube.
    For additional information, refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Outlet Tube in this section.
Vehicles with common rail fuel injection

  1. Disconnect the vacuum line from the EGR valve.
Vehicles without common rail fuel injection

  1. Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum line from the EGR valve.
All vehicles

  1. Remove the EGR valve.
    • Discard the gasket.

Installation

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Install a new EGR valve gasket.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Initialize the door window motors. For additional information, refer to Section  501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms.
