Air Conditioning - Compressor Manifold and Tube Assembly—1.8L Duratec-HE (MI4)/1.8L Duratec-SCi (MI4)/2.0L Duratec-HE (MI4)/2.5L Duratec-VE (VE6)/3.0L Duratec-ST (VE6)/3.0L Duratec-VE (VE6) Mondeo 2001 (10/2000-02/2007)
Removal and Installation

  1. Evacuate the air conditioning (A/C) system.
    For additional information, refer to: Klimaanlage entleeren, evakuieren und befüllen (412-00, General Procedures).
  1. Raise the vehicle.
    For additional information, refer to: Anheben mit Hebebühne (100-02, Description and Operation).

  1. Remove the engine undershield (if equipped).

  1. Remove the lower radiator cover.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Close off the condenser to stop dirt from entering.
    Detach the upper refrigerant line from the condenser.

6. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
NOTE:Install new refrigerant line O-rings.
NOTE:
NOTE:Coat the refrigerant line O-rings with clean refrigerant oil before installation.
