Glass, Frames and Mechanisms - Heated Windshield Switch and Heated Rear Window Switch Assembly—Vehicles Built From: 06/2003 Mondeo 2001 (10/2000-02/2007)
Removal and Installation

Removal
  1. Detach the damper from the glove compartment.
    1. Open the glove compartment to access the damper.
    1. Push the top of the damper away from the glove compartment.

  1. Fully open the glove compartment.
    • Press the sides of the glove compartment towards the center to release the glove compartment stops.

  1. Disconnect the auxiliary power electrical connector (if equipped).

  1. Remove the glove compartment.
    • Detach the hinges.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Release the clock trim panel retaining clips through the glove compartment aperture in order to prevent damage to the instrument panel.
    Detach the clock trim panel from the instrument panel.

  1. Remove the heated windshield switch and heated rear window switch assembly.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
    1. Release the retaining clips.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
