Remove the hood lock cylinder.
For additional information, refer to: Hood Lock Cylinder (501-14 Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems, Removal and Installation).

Remove the hood lock cylinder actuator arm.

Remove the hood lock cylinder barrel retainer.

With the hood lock cylinder in a vertical position, remove the hood lock cylinder barrel.

With the hood lock cylinder in a vertical position, remove the hood lock cylinder barrel locking pin and tumblers.

Assemble the hood lock cylinder return spring to the hood lock cylinder barrel.

The first tumbler to be installed into the hood lock cylinder barrel corresponds to the ignition key cut F.

With the hood lock cylinder barrel in a vertical position, assemble the tumblers into the hood lock cylinder barrel in the order shown:

Make sure that the hood lock cylinder barrel tumbler indents align with the hood lock cylinder barrel locking pin hole.

With the hood lock cylinder barrel in a vertical position, install the hood lock cylinder barrel locking pin.

With the hood lock cylinder in a vertical position, install the hood lock cylinder barrel.

Using a suitable 10 mm deep socket, install the hood lock cylinder barrel retainer until an audible click is heard.

Install the hood lock cylinder actuator arm spring.

Assemble the hood lock cylinder actuator arm.

Install the hood lock cylinder.
