Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the right-hand front wheel.
    Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

    1. Loosen the nut two turns.

Vehicles with 2.5L engine

Vehicles with 2.0L engine, 1.8L or 2.0L diesel engine

Installation
  1. Special Tool(s): 205-775
Vehicles with 2.0L engine, 1.8L or 2.0L diesel engine
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that new components are installed.
    Torque:
    Stage 1:
    6 Nm
    Stage 2:
    25 Nm
Vehicles with 2.5L engine
  1. Torque: 40 Nm

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that new bolts are installed.
    Torque:
    Stage 1:
    6 Nm
    Stage 2:
    25 Nm
All vehicles
  1. Special Tool(s): 204-609

  1. Special Tool(s): 204-605

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that a new bolt is installed.
    Using the halfshaft bolt, connect the halfshaft to the wheel hub.
    Torque: 20 Nm

  1. Special Tool(s): 204-349
    Torque: 100 Nm

  1. Torque: 200 Nm

  1. Torque:
    Stage 1:
    45 Nm
    Stage 2:
    80°
  1. Install the right-hand front wheel.
    Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
