Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the brake pedal remains in the rest position.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:The brake pedal actuating rod pin will be damaged during removal.
    Torque: 24 Nm

  1. Refer to: Battery (414-01, Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging (412-00, General Procedures).
  1. Refer to: Brake Master Cylinder - RHD (206-06, Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Front Subframe (502-00, Removal and Installation).

  1. Torque: 48 Nm

  1. Torque: 12 Nm

  1. WARNING:
    WARNING:Make sure that the engine and transmission assembly is on wooden blocks and secured with suitable retaining straps
    General Equipment: Mounting table set

Installation

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the brake booster pushrod is correctly located.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
