Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Crankshaft Pulley (303-01 Engine - 2.3L Duratec-HE (MI4), Removal and Installation).

  1. General Equipment: Trolley jack

  1. Torque: 15 Nm

  1. Torque: 25 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 25 Nm
    1. Torque: 20 Nm

Installation

  1. To install reverse the removal procedure.

  1.  
    • Apply sealant to the engine front cover (bead diameter: 3 mm).
      Material: Silicone Sealant

  1. Torque:
    1-8 10 Nm
    9 48 Nm
    10-19 10 Nm
    20-22 48 Nm

  1.  
    1. Torque: 80 Nm
    1. NOTE:
      NOTE:Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.
    1. Remove the trolley jack.

  1. Torque: 90 Nm
