Removal and Installation

General Equipment
Trolley jack

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Refer to: Luftfilter (303-12 Ansaugsystem - 2.0L Duratec-HE (MI4)/2.3L Duratec-HE (MI4), Removal and Installation).
  1. Refer to: Batterie abklemmen (414-01 Batterie, Befestigung und Batteriekabel, General Procedures).
  1. Refer to: Anheben mit Hebebühne (100-02 Fahrzeug anheben, Description and Operation).

  1.  
    1. Torque: 48 Nm
    1. Torque: 80 Nm

  1. Remove the RH headlamp assembly.
    Refer to: Scheinwerfer (417-01 Außenbeleuchtung, Removal and Installation).

  1. General Equipment: Trolley jack

  1.  
    1. Torque: 90 Nm
    1. Torque: 80 Nm
    1. Torque: 25 Nm
    1. Torque: 90 Nm

  1. Torque: 18 Nm

Installation

  1. Install all components in reverse order.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure that the pedals remain in the rest position.
    Turn the ignition key to position II and then wait one minute in order to initialise the throttle valve.
  1. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
